The most potentially powerful outcome of Endow San Diego is the genesis of local charitable foundations across the region, growing under the banner, “Endow Your Community.” Each of these new foundations attracts members whose donations create an endowment as well as immediate grantmaking funds that serve their communities exclusively. Here is what we are focusing on now:
Building a Foundation
Through meetings and mixers, The Oceanside Charitable Foundation is spreading the word about how to make a difference in Oceanside. The OCF is starting strong with a focus on membership and growing their endowment and grantmaking dollars. With a membership and grants committee already formed, the OCF is looking towards the future at their first grantmaking cycle.
